Turkish castles and palaces have a very distinct look from
European castles. Visiting fortresses and palaces in Turkey is a unique experience.
Although some of the most impressive castles and fortifications no longer
exist, you can still see some wonders like the Topkapi Palace or the Rumeli Castle (Rumelihisarı) in
Istanbul or in the southern part of Turkey, Bodrum Castle.
